Appliance Depot Inc. Return Policy

At Appliance Depot Inc. (ADI), we strive to ensure customer satisfaction with every purchase. Below is our return policy, outlining the process for returns, exchanges, and refunds for new, used, and scratch-and-dent appliance parts. Please review carefully before placing your order.


General Return Policy

Eligibility:

Returns or exchanges are accepted within 30 days of purchase, subject to ADI’s approval. A Return Authorization Number (RAN#) is required for all returns.

How to Initiate a Return:
Contact ADI by email at buy@appliancedepot.com or by phone at 651-454-5995 (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM CST) to request a RAN#.

Return Shipping Costs:
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or dead on arrival (DOA). ADI covers return shipping for defective/DOA items under warranty (see below for details).

Restocking Fees:
A 30% restocking fee applies to non-defective returns, including package refusals. No restocking fee applies to defective/DOA returns.

Refund Scope:
Refunds cover the product cost only; initial shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Packaging Requirements:
Items must be returned in their original packaging, with sticker labels intact and the RAN# clearly visible on the outside of the package. Packages without a visible RAN# will be refused and returned to the sender at their expense.

Return Deadline:
Returns must be received by ADI within 14 business days of receiving your RAN#.

Package Refusals:
Refusals must be reported to ADI via email (buy@appliancedepot.com) on the same day as attempted delivery. A 30% restocking fee applies to refusals, and refunds will be processed only after verification.

New Parts Returns

Mechanical Parts:
Covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Contact ADI for exchange details; no refunds are issued.

Non-Mechanical Parts:
Non-returnable unless defective.

Unopened/New Parts:
Eligible for a refund (minus initial shipping and 30% restocking fee) if unopened and returned at the customer’s expense.

Special Orders:
Non-returnable.

Incorrect Orders:
Customers are responsible for verifying the correct part number with the manufacturer before ordering. ADI is not liable for incorrect part purchases, and such items are not eligible for return unless defective.

Defective/DOA Returns (Mechanical Parts Only)

Warranty:
All used and new mechanical parts carry a 30-day warranty from delivery for DOA or defective claims.

Process:
Contact ADI within 30 days to report issues and obtain a RAN#. ADI covers return shipping for defective/DOA items.

Resolution:
Returned parts are tested. If defective, an identical part will be sent as a replacement (no refunds). If the part is functional, it will be returned to the customer at their expense.

No Restocking Fees:
Defective/DOA returns are exempt from restocking fees.

Used & Scratch-and-Dent Parts

Condition:
All used and scratch-and-dent parts are tested and inspected. Cosmetic blemishes may be present but do not affect functionality.

Returns:
Follow the same process as new parts. Eligible for exchange under the 30-day warranty if defective; otherwise, a 30% restocking fee applies for non-defective returns.

Customer Responsibility:
Customers must verify part compatibility with their appliance model. ADI is not responsible for misdiagnosed issues or incorrect part orders.

COD Returns:
Cash-on-delivery returns are not accepted.

Shipping Policy (Related to Returns)

Shipping Costs:
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for non-defective items. ADI covers return shipping for defective/DOA items under warranty.

Damaged Shipments:
Report damaged items to the carrier (e.g., UPS) within 24 hours of receipt. ADI is not liable for shipping damage.

International Shipping:
Customers are responsible for any customs or brokerage fees. Contact UPS for fee details before ordering.

Delivery Times:
UPS Ground shipping takes approximately 5 business days. UPS Air (3-Day, 2nd Day, Next Day) varies by zip code, weight, and box size. Check www.ups.com for terms and holiday schedules.
