Appliance Depot Inc. Return Policy

Effective Date: February 24, 2026

At Appliance Depot Inc. (ADI), we stand behind the quality of our products and want you to shop with confidence. We accept returns and exchanges only for parts (new, used, scratch & dent, or mechanical). New appliances are non-returnable and non-refundable; they are covered solely by the manufacturer's warranty. Any issues with new appliances must be handled directly through the manufacturer, and returns or exchanges for appliances are decided exclusively by the manufacturer.

General Return Guidelines (Applies to Parts Only)

  • Return Window: You may request a return within 30 days from the date of delivery.
  • Prior Approval Required: All returns require a Return Authorization Number (RAN#). Contact us by email at buy@appliancedepot.com or phone at 651-454-5995 (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM CST) to request approval and receive your RAN#.
  • Condition Requirements: Items must be returned in original packaging, with all stickers/labels intact, and in resalable condition (unless the return is due to a defect).
  • Return Shipping & Costs: Customers are responsible for paying return shipping costs. These vary based on item size, weight, carrier, and location — typically ranging from $20 to $200 or more for large/bulky items (contact us for a specific estimate before shipping). Original shipping and handling charges from your purchase are non-refundable.
  • Restocking Fee: A 30% restocking fee applies to non-defective returns. This fee is waived for verified defective/DOA (Dead on Arrival) items.
  • Refund Details: Refunds cover the product cost only (after any applicable restocking fees) and are processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days after we receive, inspect, and approve the return.
  • Process Timeline: Once you receive your RAN#, ship the item within 14 business days. Clearly display the RAN# on the outside of the package. Packages without a visible RAN# may be refused (at sender's expense). For refused deliveries, contact us the same day to verify; a 30% restocking fee applies in such cases.

New / Used / Scratch & Dent Parts

  • New/unopened parts are eligible for return (customer pays return shipping) minus original shipping charges and the 30% restocking fee.
  • Special order parts are non-returnable.
  • Used/scratch & dent parts are sold as-is and may have cosmetic blemishes but are fully functional.
  • New electric/mechanical parts are covered by the manufacturer's warranty; contact us for exchange details (no refunds for these items).

Defective / DOA Returns (Mechanical Parts Only)

  • All used parts include a 30-day warranty against DOA.
  • Report any issues within 30 days of delivery to obtain a RAN#.
  • No restocking fees or return shipping charges apply to verified defective/DOA returns — we cover the resolution process.
  • Returned parts are tested; if confirmed defective, we provide an identical replacement (no cash refund). If the part tests as working, it will be returned to you at your expense.

Appliances (New)

New appliances are non-returnable and non-refundable. They come with the manufacturer's standard warranty only. Any defects, issues, or warranty claims for new appliances must be handled directly through the manufacturer. ADI does not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds on new appliances — all decisions regarding returns or exchanges are made solely by the manufacturer.

Parts Purchases

  • Customers are responsible for confirming the correct part number with the manufacturer before purchase.
  • ADI is not responsible for incorrect part selections.

DryerFlex® model DFLX4  is building code and manufacturer approved 4” round transition duct and are designed for superior performance in connecting the dryer’s exhaust port to a home’s in wall dryer exhaust system. Building code and manufacturer adoption of DryerFlex as a superior solution is based on compliance with IMC 504.4 and IRC 1502.3 as well as a UL 2158A listing.

DryerFlex gets its flexibility, strength and fire resistant capabilities with 5 layers of 25 micron 100% aluminum ribbon, attached over galvanized zinc coated wire. The application method for the aluminum ribbon ensures a consistent 4” inner diameter whether it is fully extended or fully compressed.

Comparison Summary: Foil

Like DryerFlex, foil transition hose is pliable and easy to work with. However, building code prohibits the use of foil in an attempt to reduce the number of fires caused by dryer exhaust problems. Foil duct has a narrower, rough interior that restricts airflow and a coating that is flammable.

Comparison Summary: Semi-rigid

Semi-rigid is accepted under standard building code because it maintains its 4" diameter and has a smooth interior. It is harder to work with, crushes easily and is difficult to twist. DryerFlex is also code approved with a UL 2158A listing, but it is very workable making it easier to connect the dryer.

The DryerFlex Advantage

DryerFlex outperforms other exhaust hose because of its unique design: all metal construction using five layers of 25 micron aluminum ribbon wound over galvanized, zinc coated wire.

Strength

This approach to building a better transition duct makes DryerFlex tough enough to protect against punctures or crushing, helping prevent efficiency loss and fire dangers. In the event of a dryer fire, this design can work to hinder fire expansion into the wall with torch tests up to 482 degrees showing zero flame spread or smoke development.

Flexibility

Some of the same features that make DryerFlex tough, including the wrap of multiple ribbon layers over a spiral wire, also makes DryerFlex easy to manipulate into the right bend for every dryer connection.
